Coordinating Dog Wedding Napkins With Invitations and Signage

Dog napkins

We get it.  Your pet is a member of the family, but your sweet pup may not be the most ideal wedding guest.  Especially if you are traveling to a destination some distance away!  All those new sights and sounds would just be too much.

So, how do we make sure your pet is still thought of on the most important day of your lives?  We love helping you work that out!  One of the best ways is to do dog cocktail napkins for your wedding.

Over the years, we’ve drawn dozens and dozens of pets to feature on napkins so that every drink that’s passed is a little reminder of your furry best friend at home.

Here are some of the cute phrases you could consider including on  dog wedding napkins:

  • Cheers
  • Drinks are on me
  • Mom and Dad got married
  • Let’s paw-ty
  • A toast from _______ (pet name)
  • And so many more

How do I coordinate dog wedding napkins with everything else?

As far as making sure everything still coordinates, we recommend that you keep the typography and color the same across the board and that will go along way in ensuring continuity in the design.  Even if you had a super formal wedding invitation, we tend to think it’s okay for a few elements to pop up that are a little more fun, like dog wedding napkins.

Beyond dog cocktail napkins for weddings, some clients like to find other places to include their pet(s).  We will often see a signature cocktail named after the couple’s dog, cat, or even other animals like a fish, horse, etc.  It’s so much fun!  You can include an illustration on that sign as well, if you like.

What style should the art be created?

If you want your cocktail napkins to feature foil – i.e. gold or silver or essentially just anything shiny – then you will need your art to be in a one color sketch style.  For more other products, a full color design is okay.  The one exception is that frosted cups, which have gained popularity in recent years, are much more expensive to print in full color designs, so we always recommend using a one color look for those.

What are some examples of how it could look?

We love when clients are able to pop into our studio to see the piles and piles of dog wedding napkins, koozies, cups, and other stationery we’ve done in the past.  But in the absence of a studio visit, here are a few photos!

We love seeing your pets and would be thrilled to help you incorporate them into your wedding stationery.  Follow along on Instagram and/or reach out to us directly to get the conversation started!
