Feedback is an important part of this process.\u00a0 Providing your feedback in a way that is easy to understand for your customer wedding stationery studio will make a huge difference in how long the process takes.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Be specific.<\/b><\/h3>\n

Vague feedback is very difficult for the design team to work through and often will result in a delay.\u00a0 <\/span>

  • \u201cI don\u2019t know, something just feels off\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n

    Examples of better feedback:<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. \u201cSomething about this isn\u2019t working for me, and I think perhaps it\u2019s the color.\u00a0 Can you try more of a sky blue like the attached?\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. \u201cI think I want to change the direction.\u00a0 Could you provide 3 new options that are more classic fonts and design elements?\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. \u201cThis font is fussier than I\u2019d like it to be \u2013 could we look at some scripts with fewer swirls that are easier to read?\u201d\n

      2. Gather the group\u2019s feedback BEFORE replying.<\/b><\/h3>\n

      When mom, mother-in-law, groom, bride, and wedding planner are all on the email thread, it\u2019s very confusing for the design team to know what to do.\u00a0 Often, each person offers feedback that conflicts with something someone else said.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Designate ONE person to provide the feedback and decide what that should be amongst yourselves before you do so.\u00a0 It will GREATLY improve the efficiency of the process.<\/span><\/p>\n

      3. When you send images, say what you like about them.<\/b><\/h3>\n

      Inspiration images are great and so helpful!\u00a0 However, there\u2019s usually a lot going on in each flat lay, so the wedding invitation designer needs to know what you like about it.\u00a0 Was it just the ink color?\u00a0 The whole thing?\u00a0 Just that one cute reply card?\u00a0 Again, being specific is important.<\/span><\/p>\n

      4. Are you open to ideas, or are you pretty set on your vision?<\/b><\/h3>\n

      Some clients like when their custom wedding stationery company gets creative with alternative options and ideas, and others seem to see that as the company not following their directions.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Be upfront and clear with the design team: do you want to explore lots of fun possibilities, or are you very confident in your vision and just want to make that happen?<\/span><\/p>\n

      5. A somewhat related note: please, don\u2019t use AI.<\/b><\/h3>\n

      We get it \u2013 AI seems like such an easy way to just generate some art or show us your changes quickly.\u00a0 But what most people don\u2019t realize is that AI is quite literally stealing the work of living, breathing, human artists.\u00a0 When you upload art and proposals to AI, it is learning their\u00a0 style and using it to create further art without compensation or consideration for the people involved.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Personally, we feel like humans never needed robots that made art for them \u2013 isn\u2019t art one of the joys of life? \u2013 and would much prefer it focus on solving medical issues and hunger and maybe even folding laundry.<\/span><\/p>\n
