In working with so many different couples to design and print their stationery, our wedding invitations designer<\/a> team has to be incredibly flexible. On one hand, there\u2019s the couple who has procrastinated far too long and is looking to plug their information into a predesigned template so that they can just get it in the mail in time. Then there\u2019s the bride who has dreamed about her invitations for years and has very specific ideas about what it\u2019s going to look like.<\/p>\n

In this post, we wanted to introduce you to some examples of the specialty techniques that we offer to really make a wedding invitation stand out from the crowd.<\/p>\n

Dressing Up the Envelope<\/h2>\n

Our first specialty technique involves literally the first thing that your family and friends will see when they get your invitation in the mail: the stamps. Sure, you could use a standard postage stamp that gets the job done, but you could also do something that takes advantage of the artistry, beauty, and tradition of stamp design. Using a number of different vintage stamps that complement your wedding aesthetic is a unique way to make sure that even the envelope is something your guests will want to keep as a souvenir.<\/p>\n

Another very popular envelope feature is an inside layer that provides an additional opportunity for watercolor illustrations, a crest, a monogram, or other artwork to beautifully set off the invitation housed inside.<\/p>\n

Paper Creations<\/h2>\n

Paper cutting technologies such as laser cutting and die cutting have made it possible to create customized wedding invitation components that would have been prohibitively tedious in the past. A laser-cut paper feature can be laid over your invitation, like the example below.
