FAQs
How do we get started?
Reach out to us via email or fill out our inquiry form here. We will get back to you within 24 business hours. We are more than happy to work over email, phone, or have you visit our studio in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. We always start with a conversation and a quote to help you get a better idea of what’s involved. For most people, hiring a stationer for their wedding is a first and they have no idea where to begin – don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
How much do invitations cost?
We wish we could answer this question in a direct and easy way, but as you can see from looking through our gallery, there is a huge variety in what people send for their wedding invitations. It can be as simple as an invitation and a response card or as complicated as multiple envelopes, cards, printing types, wax seals, etc. For that reason, we really just can’t give any kind of number. But we’re happy to talk through it! You can also look at our price guide.
When should we hire a stationer?
It’s a good idea to line up your stationer around a year out. That way, they’ll be able to assist you with save the dates all the way to the day of paper. If you haven’t done that though, don’t panic! We work with plenty of clients beginning with the invitations. Invitations are usually mailed out around 2 – 3 months in advance, so it’s good to begin planning those around 6 months out if possible.
What’s the point of a save the date?
Sometimes people think they should skip the save the date and just send the invitations earlier, like 6 months out or more. While we definitely understand the logic, you have to think about things from your guests’ point of view. They have very busy lives, probably multiple weddings to attend, possibly school for their kids, etc. An invitation sent that far out is likely to get lost in the shuffle of their daily lives — plus, it’s a little too far out for them to be able to say with certainty that they can attend most of the time. The save the date allows them put it on their calendar, and the invitation goes out close enough that they will be ready to really keep it on their mind, start shopping for dresses and let you know whether they can come.
